Our Vision encapsulates what we want our homes - your home - to achieve:
To create homes for pleasure in quality projects that respect local communities and the environment, located in beautiful, unspoiled and in many cases undiscovered areas of Italy.
To play an active role at all stages so that every home complies with our innovative vision of sustainable and aesthetically stimulating living
To work closely with carefully-selected local architects, developers, builders, suppliers and craftsmen of repute, fostering teamwork for high-quality creative results.
To ensure these homes embody all the qualities we'd desire for ourselves, customised to our customers' lifestyles, tastes and needs
To deliver the highest standards of close personal service and support at all stages of purchase and ownership, so our customers can rely on full information and mutual understanding while enjoying total peace of mind.

Luca Catalano - Managing Director
After graduating in Law at the University of Genoa with Laude in 1992, he then went on to Post Graduate at London’s Queen Mary and Westfield College before returning to Italy to practice real estate law and then back to London to continue his passion for real estate development. After several years of real estate investment and property development in London, he started Realinvest Ltd., now Realitalia, which allows him to combine his passion of real estate property development and Italian culture by restoring ancient properties in Italy and bringing them back to their original glory for a new generation.
Tanja Haug - Creative Director
After studying engineering at the Technical University in Berlin and Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, Tanja started working for the American company Procter & Gamble as Purchase Manager. In this role she received excellent training in sourcing, negotiating, supplier management and transport organization. She then worked in Milan for a period before relocating to London to start Italy Exclusive, a company focused on interior design. She then combined her knowledge of interior design and project planning with Luca’s background in property development to become a member of Realitalia’s executive team.

Luca's favourite project
My favorite project is currently Villa degli Olivi in Tuscany because it is located in an area of Tuscany where I see a lot of development potential due to its beauty and easiness to reach. It is also located in a village, easy to go for a coffee or shopping while giving you the feeling of being in the countryside.

Tanja's favourite project
My favorite project is Colletta in Liguria because of the great atmosphere that has developed since we gave life back to this beautiful medieval village. I am still in contact with many of my furniture package clients and like to visit all the beautiful events they organise in the village.

Because we care
Realitalia was conceived in the late-nineties, when we set out to offer Italian homes with a difference, combining true design values with quality of build and finish, plus personal support to make purchase, design decisions, furnishing and maintenance as straightforward as possible. There's a logic to how we bring all these elements together and support your choices that's rooted in our values and who we are. The result is a complete, creative alternative for the home buyer.
Unlike estate agents, we are nearly always involved in our projects right from the planning phase through to after-sale customisation and support. We work closely with carefully-selected teams of local architects, developers, builders, suppliers and craftsmen to obtain what great teamwork always offers - a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Our aim is to ensure every stage meets our vision of homes for pleasure.
It is a vision we are pleased to say we have achieved, with award-winning restored historic villages, purpose-built spa resorts, eco-sustainable retreats tucked away in the hills and seaside villas in national parks overlooking beaches of pure white sand.
One of the reasons for this success is that we have a different background to most players in the industry. As multicultural European professionals, our interests and values are similar to our clients and we understand their needs. That's why we're so proud of our achievements, built as they are on a personal undertaking that we'll only ever offer special homes we would dream of living in ourselves.
All this comes from our passion for Italy - its famous places and hidden secrets, its people, countryside and history - and it's a passion we share with our customers. Which is why you'll find yourself dealing with us personally at so many stages of buying your home.
We look forward to helping you create your dream home in Italy.
Ciao
Luca Catalano Tanja Haug
