We had a fantastic time during the Christmas Holidays in Limone, where we have the Italian Holiday Home Ski Resort and SPA that is going to be completed later this year.
Certain things were expected, like the good ski slopes, the lively village atmosphere, the outstanding quality of food and wine (Italian coffee, brioches, patisserie, hot chocolate etc.), typical of the Piedmont region, as well as the lack of organisation for those aspects on which Italians are rather weak (like the purchase of the seasonal ski-passes, the collection of the information on the kids ski-school etc).
Beside the fantastic weather and the good snow, other things have been a pleasant surprise, as the very few queues at the ski lifts and the good variety of things to do other than skiing.
In the next few weeks of course I will keep writing about Limone, but below you will find some images of a few good things done during the holidays.
These are images of a great night at La Grogia, one of the few chalets that can be reached only with snowmobiles. The children were trilled, and we too, since it was a great night full of stars!
Another good one was the kids "Fiaccolata" organised by the Equipe Ski School at Limone 1400. We went up with the ski-lift at 17.00, eat at the chalet Morel where there was a bit of kids disco too, and eventually skied down in the dark with the torches fired up. It was another exceptional night full of stars.
If you like a bit of disco on the piste then, Baita 2000 is among those chalets on the slopes where often you find a DJ during the day, normally in the afternoon, for a bit of action!
Below the fantastic view you can get from their terrace.
I look forward to see you in Limone soon.
