First ski week-end in Limone was just about perfect.
Friday evening the short trip to the ski village was good, a nice cold evening and the fox that was waiting for us at the tunnel….. (image below).
Saturday morning we woke up with snow falling that actually lasted all day, probably nearly 50 cm of snow came down eventually.
It was good since the day was dedicated to the various activities for the beginning of the season: seasonal ski-pass for the children (we bought our earlier in the month), ski cupboards at the starting of the gondola Severino Bottero, enrolling of the children to the ski-school and ski-club (Leo actually skied all day already…., despite the weather) etc.
And – in the afternoon – a good tour at Bottero Ski, the fantastic sport/fashion shop in the Village, at a few meters from the slopes: an institution in Limone, we never go to Limone without a visit to this fantastic specialist sport store.
Saturday evening Italian aperitivo and we went to bed early, since we knew Sunday was supposed to be good weather. With all this snow, in the evening Limone historical centre was lovely (images below):
Sunday morning was still cloudy but getting better. Some sun was getting out already at the walking to the slopes (image below):
On the slopes then was absolutely fantastic, the weather got better and the snow was super-top. Not many people either, the longest queue we did was around 65 seconds….

See you next week-end on the slopes.
